Advanced training in preservation and restoration, together with research on materials and techniques of restoration, is the primary statutory objective of the Preservation and Restoration Centre.
The agreement between the CCR and the University of Turin has allowed the initiation of a Degree Course in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, with institutional headquarters in Venaria. The course aims to train highly qualified specialist restorers, according to a strictly scientific, professionally-updated regime, combining technical skills with the historical and scientific tools of the disciplines.

Thanks to the activities of the School, the Centre works to promote the professional community of restorers and, more generally, to provide a comprehensive update system to the Cultural Heritage sector. To achieve its purposes it operates in cooperation with international bodies and regional and ministerial structures and with Institutions of research and study.
