Restoration of the work Floral mural the Africa Hall of Addis Ababa
Il Centro Conservazione e restauro “La Venaria Reale” ha partecipato all’inaugurazione ufficiale del progetto di riqualificazione e rifunzionalizzazione dell’𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥, ad Addis Abeba, in Etiopia.
We are proud to have been part of this great project and to have had the opportunity to work on the great Floral Mural, created in 1961 by the Savonese artist Nenne Sanguineti Poggi: a 160 m2 work on textile support and applied to the wall, dedicated to the diversity of African flora.
The restoration carried out by the Centre in 2024 involved a team of professionals who worked in close synergy, combining technical, historical and scientific skills.
