Stone & Wall Paintings Group: Challenges in the conservation of street art - the European CAPuS Project

How is street art preserved?
External conditions mean faster degradation and removing vandalism is difficult because paints have similar chemical compositions. Moreover, these works are often considered ephemeral by their own authors.

Arianna Scarcella and Chiara Ricci, the Centre’s restorer and conservation scientist, will present the results of the CAPuS project on 10 November 2022 in an online lecture organised by the Stone & Wall Paintings Group’s Institute of Conservation (ICON).
